- 1 lb steak (flank or sirloin recommended)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- For the stir-fry:
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/8 cup diced garlic
- 1/8 cup diced ginger
- 16 oz noodles (spaghetti recommended)
- 16 oz broccoli
- For the sauce:
- 3/4 cup dark soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1/2 cup honey (or brown sugar)
- ยฝ cup oyster sauce
- โ cup rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp browning (optional, for color)
- For the cornstarch slurry:
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and rice vinegar. In another bowl, mix water and cornstarch to form a slurry. Gradually mix the slurry into the soy sauce mixture. Set aside.
- Season beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, rice vinegar, and ginger.
- Heat sesame oil in a wok and sear beef until desired doneness. Remove from wok.
- In the same wok, sautรฉ onions, garlic, and ginger. Add broccoli and noodles, stir-frying on high heat.
- Gradually add the sauce, stirring constantly to mix well.
- Return beef to the wok, combine with other ingredients, and cook together briefly.
- Serve hot.
